Every evening around 3:00 PM, a group of archers from various clubs met in the Khasi Hills archery sports Institute. A target is set by the organizing authority and approximately 50 archers throws arrows to the target. Arrow shooting lasts for a limited amount of time and after that it is stopped. After that they count the arrows that hit the target and last two digits of the target is declared as the Shillong teer number.
